Warrant Issued For Serial Burglary Suspect In Norristown: Police

NORRISTOWN, PA — A man who police said has committed numerous burglaries around the area has been identified by authorities.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the man, local resident Martice Christie, 21, after an extensive investigation police lauded as “outstanding.”

Authorties said early in November that they identified a burglary pattern which specifically targeted Hispanic homeowners. Christie entered several homes through an unlocked window or door, officials noted.

The thefts took place between Nov. 4 and Nov. 12, and police said the suspect acted only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 2 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Officials did not specify what was taken from the homes. Police urged residents and homeowners to follow several safety tips, including: Lock all doors and windows when you go to sleep, secure window air conditioners, keep outside lights on at night, and call 911 immediately if you are a victim of a crime, or if you see any suspicious people around your home.
