Ricochet says Vince McMahon is still someone who everyone looks to backstage in WWE, especially as it concerns creative. 

McMahon told CNBC in April that he would remain involved with the company's creative direction on a "higher level" but would no longer work "in the weeds" as he's done in the past. However, Ricochet recently told SPORF that McMahon still has considerable influence on the product. 

Ricochet said:

“Vince is still involved and Vince is still talked to. He’s still someone that everyone looks to, especially with creative. So he’s got his fingers in everything too," 

“I think Triple H and everybody in creative is just trying to do the best they can in bringing out the best in who they have. They’re trying to work to everyone’s strengths. I think that’s something that Triple H has always done."

“They want to grow the brand as much as possible. Whether it’s Raw or SmackDown or NXT. They’re trying to highlight the strengths of everybody. I think it’s been great so far."

“Everybody sees the popularity of the brand now, so they just want to expand it as much as possible. I think what they’ve been doing recently with everybody has been great. Everybody’s been going out there and giving it their all.”

McMahon was backstage at the 6/5 Raw in Hartford. While Triple H was still running the show, McMahon made several changes including scrapping a Seth Rollins open challenge.

Meltzer wrote: 

At first there was a lot of talent scared and not happy about McMahon’s involvement but the reality is everyone accepts that he’s now the ultimate decider and when the merger takes place, Ari Emanuel basically put it in place that it will remain as long as McMahon wants it to because he will be the person in charge of WWE and the final decision maker. 

Up next for Ricochet is the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match on July 1 in London. He qualified for the match by defeating The Miz on the 5/29 Raw.
