BROOKLYN, NY — An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested and charged with assault and harassment in Brooklyn Sunday, authorities said.

The 33-year-old police officer was arrested in the 61st Precinct (which covers Sheepshead Bay, Kings Bay, Manhattan Beach and parts of Gravesend) at about 3:50 p.m., police said.

A NYPD spokesperson confirmed officers responded to a domestic incident involving the officer and his wife. The spokesperson declined to disclose further details on the incident.
