LOCKPORT, IL — At its Monday board meeting, the Lockport Township High School Board of Education recognized LTHS soccer player Isabella Diorio.

Diorio was named All-American by the IHSSCA and the United Soccer Coaches Association in May. She is the first LTHS athlete to receive this award, and the first from the area since 2007, according to Board documents.

“I’ve been doing this for 34 years in public education, and twice have I [seen] any athletes, especially in the world of soccer, who have achieved this,” Superintendent Robert McBride said.
