The first full trailer for Stranger Things Season 3 has finally arrived and, thankfully, it features a ton of new footage to scrutinize, break down, and wildly theorize about.
We already know that Season 3 will take place in the summer of 1985, coinciding with the opening of the long-awaited Starcourt Mall that was hinted at in the season’s first teaser trailer.
Not only do we get a better look at the mall in the new trailer (plus Steve Harrington’s dorky new job), we also see the discontent that its arrival has brought to the not-so-sleepy burg of Hawkins, IN, with many members of the town protesting its opening.
In addition to catching up with Mike, Will, Eleven, and the rest of the gang, who are definitely making the most of their summer vacation, we also see new cast members including Cary Elwes’ smarmy Mayor Kline; Jake Busey’s sketchy Hawkins Post reporter, Bruce; and Maya Hawke’s previously unnamed mystery girl, Robin (who appears to be Steve’s new coworker at the mall). Plus, there’s the usual Upside Down creepiness, as a new, gooey breed of monster shows up in Hawkins. Also worth noting: Will and Eleven don’t seem to be the only ones haunted by the machinations of the Mind Flayer in the new promo.

Netflix has also released seven new episodic images from Season 3, which you can check out in the gallery below.
The Stranger Things twitter account previously teased an impending Season 3 trailer with a cryptic video featuring a gang of rats scurrying away from (or perhaps towards) something unseen, with the creepy caption, “It’s almost feeding time” and an upside-down smiley face. The rats also make an appearance in the full trailer, so something is obviously hungry…
