Good Samaritan Aids Spencer's Crossing Crash Victims: CHP

MURRIETA, CA — Two vehicles collided Monday, temporarily trapping five people inside the cars, California Highway Patrol officers said. According to CHP dispatch reports, a passerby at the scene helped at least three people from the wreckage.

Shortly before 1 p.m., a white van and another car collided in the area of Max Gilliss Boulevard and Leon Road, near Spencer’s Crossing in Murrieta, CHP officers said.

“A good Samaritan got three of the five people involved in the crash out of the vehicles,” CHP officers said.

The crash was between a Honda and a Ford minivan, according to officers. Tow trucks were called to the scene to clear the wreckage, and it was not immediately known if the wet roads affected this crash.

Two patients with minor to moderate injuries will be transported to an area hospital, Cal Fire spokesperson Maggie De La Rosa told Patch. No extrication was necessary for those victims.
