Latest Update On The Health Of Luchasaurus/Killswitch

Luchasaurus is reportedly recovering well after a serious health scare.

In late September, it was reported that the AEW wrestler was hospitalized due to double pneumonia, which had a severe impact on both of his lungs. The situation was dire, as his fiancé found him collapsed and rushed him to the hospital for immediate care.

Since then, Luchasaurus has been on the mend, and his condition has improved significantly.

Bryan Alvarez recently noted that Luchasaurus is “doing much better” and credits AEW’s medical staff and Tony Khan with saving his life. The report states,

“He is doing much better. I am told he is working hard towards a comeback and credits Tony Khan and AEW medical staff for not only being patient with this, but but also telling him to stay home the week before he collapsed, which may have saved his life. It was very serious.”

Prior to his health issues, Luchasaurus had been going by Killswitch in AEW storylines. He last wrestled in August at All In as part of the Casino Battle Royale.

Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore Predicts John Cena Will Break Ric Flair’s Record 16-World Titles In Final Year In WWE

Nick Dinsmore predicts a big final year in WWE for “The Greatest of All-Time.”

The former WWE Superstar known as Eugene recently spoke with Action Network for an interview, during which he spoke about John Cena possibly breaking Ric Flair’s record 16-world title reigns before he retires in WWE in 2025.

Additionally, the pro wrestling veteran spoke more about John Cena and Randy Orton, WWE’s new ownership over the past few years, CM Punk’s return to WWE and what his experiences in the locker room with “The Best in the World” were like.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview where he touches on these topics with his thoughts.

–>

–>

On if he thinks John Cena will overtake Ric Flair’s record of 16 world titles in his final year in WWE in 2025: “Absolutely. John is neck and neck with Hulk Hogan as the biggest star of our business ever. You have to give him the 17 world titles and he can be the guy who says he has the most world titles ever. I’m going to go with Randy Orton (as the opponent he should win to break Flair’s record) because he might be the best professional wrestler on the card now and that would be a great matchup. It could be against somebody younger to elevate that wrestler to John Cena’s level. Randy has been phenomenal. I remember when Randy when he first started and was a natural in the ring. He’s progressed and has become the best professional wrestler in the locker room. Maybe John Cena wins the Royal Rumble and then gets the title shot at WrestleMania and wins.

On if he thinks they need a fresh storyline for Randy: “You have so many guys under contract and guys in the locker room so you can’t necessarily get everybody on TV but he is one guy that can contribute and should be. Maybe he’s a little banged up or taking time off with his family but sometimes they will pull someone off TV for a little bit and then bring them back with a really big push so maybe that’s what they are going to do with Randy.”

On what he makes of WWE since Endeavor has been in charge: “They are making more money now than they ever have. They are on an all-time high if not, then definitely on a high. All of the wrestling follows the WWE whether that’s AEW, Ring of Honor, NWA, TNA and all of the independent shows so wrestling is really florishing and doing well which is really great.”

On his thoughts of CM Punk’s WWE return: “He has had a following since the first time he was in WWE and people were dying for him to come back. People really didn’t know if CM Punk was going to do it or not but when he did, everybody went absolutely crazy.”

On what he envisions for Punk’s final WWE run and if he thinks he’ll have a title run: “I don’t see why not, he is one of the top guys. He’s making a huge impact there so why wouldn’t you. Maybe he will headline against Seth Rollins (at WrestleMania) I don’t see why he can’t. He is one of the main event stars.”

On what Punk is like in the locker room in his experiences: “CM Punk is a nice guy; I like him a lot and I wasn’t around him a lot, but I never had a bad experience. I never saw him in a bad mood or arguing or being rude with people. Punk was always smiling, joking around and always working hard.”

AJ Francis Talks To NFL.com: “I Was A Laughingstock In Wrestling … Now I’m The Best Heel In The Business”

Is AJ Francis the best heel in the pro wrestling business right now?

If you ask him, he is.

The TNA Wrestling star spoke with Grant Gordon of NFL.com this week for an interview to promote his TNA World Championship opportunity against Nic Nemeth at the upcoming year-end TNA Final Resolution 2024 pay-per-view on Friday night, December 13.

During the discussion, the former TNA Digital Media and International Heavyweight Champion claimed he has gone from a “laughingstock in wrestling” to “the best heel in the business” in just one year’s time.

–>

–>

“A year ago, I was a laughingstock in wrestling,” Francis said. “A year ago, I was a joke, a punchline. And now, I’m the best heel in the business. And all it took was an opportunity.”

Francis, who performs as one-half of First Class in TNA alongside KC Navarro, and formerly Rich Swann, continued by talking about how WWE didn’t need him nor use him much, but in TNA, he feels like a starting Quarterback.

“WWE doesn’t need anybody,” Francis said. “WWE is a brand name. But because of that, they can pick and choose who they want to be their guys and girls.”

He continued, “They’ve done a very good job of that over the years. But they’ve also missed on some people, like for example, Cody Rhodes. I never needed the machine. I am a machine. In WWE, I felt like I was like a backup O-lineman. They would use me when they needed me, but they didn’t really have a need for me. In TNA, I’m a quarterback. A Pro Bowl quarterback. A Super Bowl-contending quarterback.”

Make sure to check back here Friday night after the show for complete TNA Final Resolution 2024 results, including AJ Francis vs. Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship.

Liv Morgan Reflects On Surreal Moment In WWE With Trish Stratus

Liv Morgan has had some surreal moments throughout her WWE career thus far.

One of them was with Trish Stratus.

During a recent Inside The Ropes interview with Kenny McIntosh, the WWE Women’s World Champion reflected on her surreal moment in the ring with one of her idols, Trish Stratus, when she and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Trish and Lita to win the women’s tag-team titles in 2023.

“Oh, for sure [it was surreal],” she said. “That was actually my second time in the ring with Trish. But it’s safe to say I never conceivably thought that I’d be wrestling against Trish Stratus, let alone win a championship off her.”

–>

–>

Morgan continued, “A lot of my moveset early on was very Trish Stratus-inspired. So when I gave myself a moment to really appreciate what it was that I was doing, it really was a pinch me moment. These moments that you never thought you’d have, and all of a sudden here you are face to face with them and you’re just like, whoa, how did we get here? How did we finesse this?”

Backstage Update On The Hardys’ New Contract With TNA Wrestling

The Hardy Boyz are once again the TNA World Tag Team Champions, but their status with the company wasn’t solidified until they signed new contracts this week. The deals are one-year contracts.

Matt and Jeff Hardy have had a strong showing in TNA Wrestling, capturing the Tag Team Championship at Bound For Glory. Matt returned to TNA in May, with Jeff joining him shortly after his AEW contract expired.

On November 27, TNA Wrestling confirmed that The Hardys re-signed with the company.

Initially, Matt Hardy was brought in for a set number of appearances but decided to stay after Jeff joined. Despite winning the TNA World Tag Team titles, The Hardys were not officially under contract until now.

–>

–>

Their new agreements allow them to continue working with TNA while also taking independent bookings.

Interestingly, TNA’s approach to talent contracts has evolved over the past year. Under previous leadership, many performers were required to sign contracts to appear, but the policy has since been relaxed.

We will keep you posted as additional details regarding The Hardys’ future continues to surface.
