Wild Walnut Park Expansion Project Breaks Ground In Calabasas

CALABASAS, CA ā€” Get ready for a bigger, better park, Calabasas.

The city broke ground this week on the expansion of Wild Walnut Park at Mulholland Highway and Old Topanga Canyon Road, which will include areas for large and small dogs, a picnic grove, play structures for kids 2-12, benches, temporary restrooms and water fountains, according to the city.

It marks a long-awaited major expansion for the park, which currently features an open area, hiking trail and temporary dog park.

“Park options for people living on the east side of the city are very limited, so I’m excited we can finally get this project moving,” Mayor David Shapiro wrote in his weekly letter to the community.
