The AEW television deal with Warner Bros Discovery could be announced as soon as next week.

John Ourand of Puck’s The Varsity is reporting that it is expected to be a four year deal, with three of those years guaranteed.

According to the report, the deal calls for weekly shows on TNT, TBS and TruTV twice a week. Replays of the primary weekly shows are rumored to be part of that.

The deal is said to be “in the ballpark” of 170 million dollars per year, making AEW the most profitable wrestling company in history outside of WWE.

In addition to the TNT, TBS and TruTV programming, AEW is reportedly pitching a package to regular broadcast channels, which could include something airing on FOX.

Whether this is the “Shockwave” show that Tony Khan alluded to during the AEW All Out 2024 post-show press conference remains to be seen.

Expect Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns for the second week in a row on the blue brand later this week.

Following their interaction on the WWE SmackDown on USA Network premiere last week, which culminated in the announcement of a big match for WWE Bad Blood 2024 involving the two, it has been announced that “The American Nightmare” and “The Original Tribal Chief” will once again appear on the show this Friday night.

During the September 16 episode of WWE Raw on the USA Network, the first commercial for the September 20 episode of WWE SmackDown aired, and noted that Cody and Roman will “seek common ground” against The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, & Tonga Loa) heading into WWE Bad Blood 2024.

Also scheduled for the 9/20 episode of WWE SmackDown is Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley & Naomi in a match where if Bayley & Naomi win, the person who scores the fall faces Nia Jax at WWE Bad Blood 2024 for the title. If Bayley & Naomi lose, the person who loses the fall must leave WWE SmackDown.

Bobby Lashley has made it clear he’s not done with his career despite his latest run with WWE recently coming to an end.

In a new video blog, “The All Mighty” continued to tease his future plans, while addressing online rumors of him possibly going to AEW or TNA.

“I see so many articles about what I’m gonna do,” Lashley said. “Is it WWE? Is it TNA? Is it AEW?”

Major League Wrestling is returning with another special event later this month.

At the MLW FIGHTLAND 2024 show in Atlanta, GA. on September 14, the company’s next show, MLW Pit Fighters, was announced.

MLW Pit Fighters 2024 will take place on September 26 and will air on beIN Sports and the MLW YouTube channel with a battle between former UFC fighters Matt Riddle and “Filthy” Tom Lawlor scheduled to headline.

When MLW comes to Atlanta prepare to journey back to the brutal origins of Mixed Martial Arts with a no-holds-barred Vale Tudo match between Matt Riddle and “Filthy” Tom Lawlor, managed by Saint Laurent. This clash between two former UFC fighters will be filmed exclusively for beIN SPORTS and air at a later date.

Before MMA was an organized sport, pit fighters would battle in the underground fight world of Brazil in no-rules, no-holds-barred martial arts street fights. They called it Vale Tudo Rules! A dangerous, controversial, and arguably barbaric form of combat sports, Vale Tudo tests the limits of human endurance, skill, and sheer will to survive.

Now MLW brings Vale Tudo to Center Stage in Atlanta, where two of the sport’s most dangerous competitors will collide in a match that harkens back to the true, gritty roots of MMA. Despite Matt Riddle making a tease for a potential AEW signing and mentioning having talks with AEW President Tony Khan, a recent report from Fightful Select suggests otherwise.

According to the report, Khan has had no interest in bringing Riddle into AEW, especially over the last couple of years in particular.

Additionally, it was noted that AEW talent almost never works with Riddle on the independent scene, and when they have, it has generally been in Mexico.
