Two Title Matches, Wedding & Other Matches Set For TNA iMPACT Taping In Montreal Tonight

TNA Wrestling is bringing another big show to Montreal this evening.

Coming out of the TNA Slammiversary 2024 pay-per-view on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the company will once again run the same venue tonight, July 21, 2024, for a set of TNA iMPACT television tapings.

It has been confirmed that the previously announced Nic Nemeth vs. Mustafa Ali match for the 7/21 taping is still on, and will now be for the TNA World Championship that Nemeth won in the main event of the 7/20 PPV.

Additionally, Moose vs. PCO for the TNA Digital Media & Canadian International Heavyweight Championship will take place, and the PCO and Steph De Lander Wedding is scheduled.

As noted, TNA has also confirmed Hammerstone & Ash By Elegance vs. Eric Young & Jordynne Grace in mixed tag-team action.

F4WOnline.com is also reporting that Steve Maclin vs. Jake Something, Jody Threat vs. Masha Slamovich is scheduled, and also appearing on the show will be new TNA X-Divison Champion “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Alan Angels, Mike Santana, Josh Alexander, Joe Hendry and The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel).

FTR’s AEW In-Ring Return Announced For Next Week, Expected Tag-Team Title Match For ALL IN 2024

FTR duo Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler returned to AEW television on the July 20 episode of AEW Collision at eSports Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

During their promo segment on the show, the popular tag-team veterans announced that they have their sights set on The Young Bucks and the AEW World Tag-Team Championships for the upcoming return to Wembley Stadium next month.

Harwood and Wheeler noted that their journey to the Bucks and the tag titles at AEW ALL IN 2024 begins next week, as they will make their in-ring return on the July 27 episode of AEW Collision.

Opponents for FTR on the 7/27 show have yet to be announced.

After the show, Harwood and Wheeler spoke in a digital exclusive backstage interview with Lexy Nair, where they also mentioned The Acclaimed duo of Max Caster and Anthony Bowens when discussing their path to an AEW ALL IN 2024 tag-team title shot.

It’s Saturday, and you know what that means …

All Elite Wrestling returns from eSports Stadium in Arlington, Texas at 8/7c on TNT with this week’s episode of AEW Collision.

On tap for the latest installment of the weekly two-hour Saturday night prime time program is the Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson & The Gunns) vs. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Killswitch) for the vacant Unified AEW Trios Championships.

Also scheduled is Deonna Purrazzo vs. Thunder Rosa in a Lumberjack match, Darby Allin’s in-ring return against The Beast Mortos, Hologram will debut, Skye Blue vs. Hikura Shida, Tomohiro Ishii vs. Roderick Strong, plus FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) will speak.

Copper Piping Stolen From Darien Business, 'Significant' Flooding Reported: PD

DARIEN, CT — Police said 2 feet of copper piping was stolen from a local business which resulted in “significant flooding” both inside and outside the building.

On July 9, officers were called to Supr Food Drive-Thru, a sister company of the popular Green & Tonic, on the Post Road where the owner reported the overnight theft, police said.

The building, which is the former site of Blue Wave Taco, has been undergoing construction to make way for the new venture.

Company CEO Fausto Mieres told Patch that copper piping worth less than $5 was cut and stolen which resulted in a flood that caused approximately $15,000 worth of damage.

Mieres said the water level reached up to 4 feet in the basement, which caused “substantial setbacks” for the project.

“We are seeking assistance from the police department to identify the individual responsible for this act, as it has delayed our grand opening by a few weeks,” Mieres told Patch via email.

In March, Mieres liked Supr-Food Drive-Thru’s offerings to McDonald’s, but healthier and fresher.

“We’re aiming for higher protein, lower fat, lower calorie burgers, clean ingredient buns, nothing that was done in a lab,” Mieres said in March. “We’re trying to source from local bakeries, we’re going to have many gluten-free options, and we’re not going to deep fry anything. Our fries and sweet potato fries are going to be air-fried. None of our menu items will contain seed oils, we aim to use strictly olive oil. Everything is going to be GMO-free.”

Sammy Guevara Nearing A Return To AEW Following Suspension

One of AEW’s youngest stars is awaiting a return.

According to Fightful Select, former three-time TNT Champion Sammy Guevara is set to return to AEW programming soon, or at least is being discussed for a return. The Spanish Sex-God has been out of action due to the suspension he has been serving for not following concussion protocol during a matchup with Jeff Hardy back in February. He has not wrestled since the February 24th episode of AEW Collision, where he was defeated by Powerhouse Hobbs in a No-DQ match.

The report notes that Guevara has not been suspended the last couple of months, and that he has just simply not been on television. Wrestling Headlines will keep you updated on this story.

NXT Announces That Great American Bash Will Be A Two Week Television Special On SyFy

An update on NXT Great American Bash.

Vic Joseph and Booker T announced on this evening’s episode that the Great American Bash special will be a two week special that begins on July 30th and ends on August 6th. The shows will run on the SyFy channel due to USA’s coverage of the 2024 Olympics.

NXT has been using the Great American Bash name since 2020. The name was coined by Dusty Rhodes and was first used in 1985.

Janel Grant Submits Petition Against Wellness Doctor Who Treats WWE Stars and Employees

Janel Grant has submitted a new legal petition.

Brandon Thruston of Wrestlenomics and John Pollock of POST Wrestling report that Janel Grant’s lawyers filed a pre-action discovery petition today against Dr. Carlon Colker and his clinic, Peak Wellness, Inc.

Grant alleges she was sent to the clinic by Vince McMahon in November 2019 and received undisclosed treatments, including pills and I.V. infusions. When she inquired about the pills, Colker allegedly questioned her trust in him.

Filed in Connecticut’s Superior Court, the petition claims Colker was aware of a nondisclosure agreement between Grant and McMahon, which is a key issue in an ongoing federal lawsuit. McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis want the dispute moved to private arbitration, citing the NDA signed in January 2022.

Grant’s petition states that Colker regularly treats WWE employees and talent. In January, Grant sued Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, alleging sex trafficking and sexual assault. She claims McMahon recruited a physical therapist from an unnamed clinic to participate in threesomes with her and pressured her into other sexual acts. She also alleges a Peak Wellness employee was involved in several instances of sexual abuse by McMahon.

Grant’s attorney states that Colker prescribed “adrenal trays” or “adrenal supplement trays” without explaining the substances, dosages, or purposes, beyond addressing fatigue. When Grant asked about the supplements causing nausea, Colker reportedly responded by questioning her trust.

The lawsuit mentions a “Celebrity Doctor” from an “Alternative Clinic” urged by McMahon. It is unclear if “Celebrity Doctor” is Colker and “Alternative Clinic” is Peak Wellness. Colker has previously worked with celebrities and athletes and appeared on a 2007 reality show with Shaquille O’Neal.

On May 30, Grant agreed to pause her lawsuit for six months amid a federal investigation into McMahon, who was reported by the Wall Street Journal in February to be under investigation for sexual assault and sex trafficking. Grant filed her lawsuit on January 25.

Update On Rachael Ellering’s AEW & ROH Contract Status

Rachael Ellering is “#AlllElite,” even if she never received the normal introductory graphic on social media.

Generally when talent signs to a contract with AEW, the company’s official social media channels post a graphic annnouncing their signing with an “#AllElite” label.

While that wasn’t the case with Ellering, Fightful Select is reporting that she has, in fact, signed a deal with the company.

Ellering was recently included on the official ROH website, however she has reportedly been under an AEW/ROH deal for “quite some time.”

She wrestled a match on AEW television in 2020 against Penelope Ford, and in the Women’s Tag-Team Cup, before recently reappearing for a match against Thunder Rosa on last week’s AEW Rampage. Prior to that, she worked semi-regularly on ROH television, with 17 matches under her belt.

Two WWE NXT Superstars Announced For NOAH’s N1 Victory Tournament In Japan

A pair of familiar faces to WWE NXT fans are coming to Japan for a Pro Wrestling NOAH tournament.

At the NOAH Destination 2024 event on Saturday morning at the Budokan Hall, which included AJ Styles defeating Naomichi Marufuji and IYO SKY beating Utami Hayashishita in a pair of matches featuring WWE Superstars, an announcement was made regarding two WWE NXT Superstars working their upcoming shows.

WWE NXT Superstars Josh Briggs and Tavion Heights will be heading to Japan to work the upcoming N1 Victory Tournament, with Briggs in Block A and Heights in Block B of the tourney bracket.
