Le texte a été approuvé à l’unanimité, avec 186 voix pour et zéro contre. L’Assemblée nationale a voté en première lecture, jeudi 4 avril, une proposition de loi écologiste (en PDF) visant à restreindre la fabrication et la vente de produits contenant des substances per- et polyfluoroalkylés (PFAS), également connues sous le nom de “polluants éternels”. Les députés ont toutefois exclu de la liste de ces produits les ustensiles de cuisine, après une forte mobilisation cette semaine des fabricants.

Cherry Hill Man Distributed Child Pornography: Prosecutor

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A Cherry Hill man possessed and distributed child pornography, authorities said.

Township police and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office executed a search warrant March 21 at a Cherry Hill home. Tyler V. Kademian was arrested after the search.

Kademian, 35, was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child (distribution of child sexual abuse materials) and third-degree child endangerment (possession of child sexual abuse materials).

“Timeless” Toni Storm Appears At STARDOM & Teases “Forbidden Door” Opening, Natalya At The Show

A pair of familiar faces to AEW fans turned up at the STARDOM event on Thursday.

 

AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm and her protégé, Mariah May, made a surprise appearance at the STARDOM: American Dream show on April 4, 2024.

The appearance saw Storm at the show at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA. where she spoke about how she wouldn’t be where she is today without STARDOM, and noted she is forever grateful to the promotion.

Storm would then present Mariah May with flowers and then turn her attention to STARDOM talent Mina Shirakawa, whom she informed, “the Forbidden Door is always open,” teasing a potential future showdown between the two.

Shirakawa is also scheduled for tonight’s ROH Supercard of Honor 2024 event, where she will team with Maika and Mei Seira against Tam Nakano, Saya Kamitani and AZM.

In addition to Storm and May, WWE Superstar Natalya was also in attendance at the STARDOM: American Dream event. She posted several photos from the show on social media.

FL Crash Deaths Fall Amid Nationwide Decline, Federal Data Shows

FLORIDA — Crash deaths in Florida fell in 2023 amid a nationwide decline of about 3.6 percent, according to new estimates from federal traffic safety regulators.

Florida saw 3,436 crash deaths last year, according to early estimates of motor vehicle traffic
deaths published this week by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. That’s 2.7 percent lower than in 2022, when Florida recorded 3,530 traffic deaths.

Florida’s traffic death rate decreased from 1.55 in 2022 to 1.47 in 2023, the data showed.

The estimates are statistical projections of traffic deaths, federal regulators said in the report. The data shows an estimated 40,990 people died across the nation in crashes last year, representing a decrease of about 3.6 percent as compared to 42,514 deaths reported in 2022.

The fourth quarter of last year represented the seventh straight quarterly decline in crash deaths, the reports said.

The fatality rate for 2023 also decreased to 1.26 fatalities per 100 million miles traveled. That’s down from a rate of 1.33 in 2022.

The report also highlighted regional differences, with 8 of 10 regions estimated to have seen fewer deaths last year. The two regions that saw increases: the Northwest and a swath of states in the South: Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Kentucky, West Virginia, and North Carolina.

Nine of the 10 regions also saw estimated decreases in traffic death rates compared to 2022.

On a state level, 35 states are expected to see fewer crash deaths, while 15 States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico are expected to have more deaths.

States that saw increases in traffic deaths: Arizona, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Washington, D.C. also reported more deaths.

The report noted “marked increases” in crash deaths and rates in the United States in 2020, and said that trend continued into 2021 and the first quarter of 2022. Since then, crash deaths have gradually fallen.

Burr Ridge Agency To 'Squeeze Every Little Thing' For Land: Official

BURR RIDGE, IL – The Burr Ridge Park District has released its 16-minute recording of a meeting that the attorney general determined was illegally closed.

The focus of the July meeting was selling land related to a planned commercial development on the CNH Industrial property, which is next to Harvester Park.

Under state law, the board could have discussed setting the price for its land in a closed session. But other issues discussed in the meeting should have been addressed in public, including drainage, the park’s bird habitat and state grants.

At the time, Burr Ridge was keeping Bridge Industrial’s plan – including a proposed Costco – secret from the public.

It was such a secret that Village Administrator Evan Walter told Patch a year ago that he was unaware of the possibility of a Costco coming to town.

Yet he had been emailing for months about the proposed Costco, even telling its representative that a Costco was a must in the development.

The village wanted the park board to keep the issue under wraps.

But the village later blamed a park board member for leaking the development’s concept to neighbors, who were upset about being left out of the loop. As a result of the frustration, the village revealed to the public what was going on in early August.

In the closed session recording, Jim Pacanowski, the park district’s director, was the only one who could be heard. The board members were barely audible.

It was unclear what land the park district would sell and to whom.

“Let’s see what kind of reaction we get to $2 million, and then you know it’s a negotiation,” Pacanowski said. “We’ll be tenacious and squeeze every little thing we can for this property. This opportunity won’t knock on the door again.”

He also talked about how the bird population was declining, while invasive plants were on the increase. South of the ball field, he said, no birds are seen.

“There’s nothing to perch on. There’s nothing to feed on,” Pacanowski said. “It’s all garbage habitat.”

Changing that situation, he said, would prove costly, so the district would need a state grant.

Pacanowski also praised the village for looping in the park district about the development. He said the village was putting a lot of faith and trust in the district.

“You don’t see that type of relationship between park districts and villages,” Pacanowski said.

Last month, Bridge Industrial submitted its application to the village for the development. It does not include a Costco.

In February, the attorney general issued its determination in response to complaints filed by watchdog Edgar Pal and resident Lisa Turano. This was after Patch ran a story questioning the legality of the closed meeting.

Pacanowski could not be immediately reached for comment.

Infant And 15-Year-Old Mother Missing In LA County

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 15-year-old girl and her infant son were reported missing from their home in Lancaster Thursday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Susana Almarez and her son Jason were last seen on Wednesday at about 4 p.m. in the 2500 block of Garnet Lane. No information was available about where the two were headed.

“Family members are concerned for her wellbeing,” deputies said in a statement.

Susana was described as a Hispanic girl who is about 5 feet and 8 inches tall and has long black hair. Susana has a heart tattoo under her left eye and was last seen wearing a gray tank top and gray/pink pajama pants.
