STARRCAST 3 SPOTLIGHT: The best in the world with CM Punk

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

Ongoing coverage, reviews, and analysis of this weekend’s Starrcast 3 shows and events from Chicago, IL.

THE BEST IN THE WORLD WITH CM PUNK
AUGUST 31, 2019
PRO WRESTLING TEES THEATRE
LIVE FROM CHICAGO, IL

Hosted by: Mike Johnson

If you were looking for a pipe bomb from CM Punk during his main event Starrcast 3 appearance, keep looking. For nearly 100 minutes, Punk had a live microphone in his hand as promoted, but kept the conversation positive and reflective. A stark contrast to his tone the last time the world heard him talk about pro wrestling years ago on The Art Of Wrestling podcast with Colt Cabana.

Mike Johnson hosted the interview and helped Punk drench the audience with cold water out of the gate by dispelling any notions or hopes that Punk would be on AEW’s All Out show later in the day. Per Punk, he’d be “spending his evening hanging out with his wife and dog.”

From there, the deflated audience listened as Punk passionately spoke about his movie projects. Punk spent a great deal of time discussing not only the critical success of the films he’s made, but also how working on those films fulfilled him creatively.

The conversation then shifted to pro wrestling and the audience’s interest perked up. Punk covered a wide variety of topics including his departure from WWE, successes within his WWE run, his time in ROH, matches against Samoa Joe, who he’d like to work with if he returned to the ring, and whether or not he missed wrestling. Punk was insightful and mature even as he discussed memories and moments throughout his career that he still was visibly prickly about.

Notably, Punk was flabbergasted after hearing the news that major stars like Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch ask for and are granted time off in the WWE. It was a running joke throughout the program that featured an authentic look of disbelief from Punk.

Punk continued discussing the wrestling business and hit topics that included working with The Rock and John Cena. Punk pulled back the curtain on the formula Rock uses when putting together matches and openly discussed the creative differences between both men in the lead up to their business together at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber PPV events in 2014.

To close, Punk talked from a birds eye view regarding the political landscape in today’s society and firmly stated his opinion on things after telling a story about his wife and him on a walk in Milwaukee. Punk clearly felt strongly about today’s landscape saying, “I’m at the point now where if you think you’re better than someone because of your color, I’m done with you. My wife is brown and I never looked at her like that.” Punk also passionately spoke about the Wednesday night wrestling wars saying, “Let them pretend there’s a war going on, you reap the benefits. Don’t let someone with a lot of money tell you what to do.”

The jokes CM Punk made about WWE vacations were funny and presented him as someone out of touch with what’s happening in wrestling today. All smoke and mirrors, though. If you dig deep into his comments including those about the new wrestling war and taking a phone call from Vince McMahon, he’s very much a guy that’s still positioning himself for potential big moves on the business side of the business someday. In addition, it’s clear Punk still has the pulse of the present day wrestling fan figured out as good or better than anyone in pro wrestling today.

We will be featuring similar features on other promotions each week and each will be updated weekly.

•Top Stories of the Week

  • WWE signed El Hijo del Fantasma last week. Viewers of Lucha Underground may recognize him as King Cuerno.
  • WWE is replacing NXT Takeover with WWE Worlds Collide during Royal Rumble weekend in January 2020. WWE released travel package information Monday afternoon this week and Worlds Collide was listed as an event, but not NXT Takeover. WWE ran a Worlds Collide show during the 2019 Royal Rumble weekend at the Axxess event and they aired a WWE Network Special showcasing the event. SOURCE
  • WWE also announced that they have expanded their partnership with Full Sail University and NXT will now emanate weekly from Full Sail Live. With NXT going live in a couple weeks, there had been speculation that they may start to travel across the country like Raw and Smackdown, but with this announcement that is not their plan at this time. SOURCE
  • Elias suffered an ankle injury over the weekend that prevented him from competing in the King of the Ring semifinal match.
  • On Tuesday, Newsweek released an interview with Triple H where he stated that 205 Live will start moving towards sitting under the NXT banner. He doesn’t really expand on what that means, but it seems to insinuate that 205 Live may start being taped at Full Sail, or possibly even dissolved and the talent will join the NXT roster. SOURCE

•Latest TV Highlights

Monday Night Raw

  • Stone Cold Steve Austin opened Raw this week which was airing from Madison Square Garden for the first time in 10 years. Stone Cold came out and told a few stories about his experiences at The Garden, then shifted to the reason he was there, the Universal Championship contract signing. Braun and Seth both made their way to the ring, Seth told Braun no one is stabbing him in the back tonight, Braun responded and wasn’t so confident in that. After both eventually signed the contract, The OC came out. A.J. Styles complained about Gallows and Anderson not getting a Tag Team Championship rematch as the fans all chanted “Asshole!” Stone Cold interrupted to make sure Styles could hear them. Styles told Stone Cold “in your old age you’ve turned into a real asshole.” Stone Cold looked down as if he was restraining himself from hitting Styles and he moved the table in the ring to the corner. Seth and Braun then attacked The OC as Stone Cold watched in the corner. A.J. avoided a stomp by Seth and threw him out of the ring, which just left Styles and Stone Cold in the ring together. Styles had his back turned to Austin while he trash talked Rollins and when he turned around Austin gave him two middle fingers and a Stunner before having a few beers and leaving.
  • Charlotte and Becky teamed up to take on Sasha and Bayley ahead of their two title matches. Before the match began Becky and Charlotte attacked Banks and Bayley as they walked to the ring, but after a commercial break, order had been restored and the match began with Becky and Bayley. The announcers talked about Becky and her ESPN commercials as well as an ESPN article that talked about these four women known as The Four Horsewomen in NXT. Late in the match Charlotte climbed to the top rope and missed a moonsault that missed completely. Meanwhile, Becky put Sasha in a Dis-Arm-Her on the outside, but Bayley attacked Becky to stop the attack. Eventually Charlotte would hit Bayley with the Natural Selection for the win.

Smackdown Live

  • WWE announced Tuesday afternoon that Elias had suffered an injury (which is reportedly real, not just a storyline) and that he was unable to compete in the King of the Ring semifinal match against Chad Gable. As Smackdown began, we didn’t know who the replacement was going to be. Chad Gable was seen approaching Shane backstage and Chad was under the impression that he would get an automatic bye into the finals. Shane responded saying a guy like Gable doesn’t want a freebie, he wants to earn his way to the finals, Chad nodded in agreement. Shane said he hadn’t figured out who his opponent would be yet, but it could be anyone. Later, Shane walked into the men’s locker room where Gable, Matt Hardy, and Apollo Crews were all standing together. Shane asked Hardy and Crews if they’d see Chad Gable while making a height joke (Hardy and Crews aren’t any taller than Gable by the way) and suddenly Shane saw Gable. Shane said he found his opponent and Elias thoroughly approved of his selection and he was right outside the locker room door, he’d go get him. Shane walked out of camera frame, then walked right back in. Shane announced himself as Elias’ replacement. Later, Kevin Owens came to see Shane, who told Owens his $100,000 fine could disappear. Owens asked him what the catch was and Shane handed him a referee shirt and told Owens he knows how important family is to him, so he should think about them tonight and walked off. In the match, Owens quick counted the win for Gable almost immediately. Gable celebrated, Shane looked angry and grabbed a microphone to say this was now two-out-of-three falls. After a commercial the match restarted, Owens began quick counting falls for Shane and slowly counting pinfalls Gable attempted. Eventually, Gable put the Ankle Lock on Shane who tapped out and the bell rang while Kevin Owens looked at him and asked Shane what he was supposed to do since McMahon tapped out. Owens went to leave and Shane attacked him, hobbled over to a microphone, yelled at Owens saying he’s fired while punching him a few more times to end Smackdown.

•WWE Social Media Highlights

Seth Rollins’s mood went from excited to very disappointed in the span of a few hours on Thursday, all centering around the Chicago Bears before their season opening game then after the game, a game they lost.

Charlotte is out here on social media trying to make the most of an illogical situation as WWE announces she’s going to tag with Becky Lynch again inexplicably and illogically. Amazing performers have to do stuff like this to try and save face as WWE continuously undermines their own characters.

Becky Lynch still trying to get a match with Stephanie, but she’s not having any of it.

Becky also starred in three new “This is Sportscenter” commercials for ESPN that were unveiled this week.

It’s not just wrestlers that can get the call to the main roster; officials can as well. Congratulations to Eddie Orengo for his call-up to Raw!

This is such a cool story. I couldn’t imagine discovering siblings I didn’t know I had!

•Closing Commentary

– The closing angle on Smackdown has to be the stupidest idea WWE has had in quite some time, and they just had their top star almost be crushed and subsequently run over the following week only a month ago. The incompetence to book Kevin Owens that way is unparalleled levels of stupidity. In all seriousness, what the hell are they doing? It’s like the perfect storm of stupidity right now. Roman Reigns looks bad, Daniel Bryan looks bad, Erick Rowan looks bad because of their dumb story, now Kevin Owens looks like an absolute moron and Chad Gable doesn’t benefit from winning at all! I wrote about the Owens fine a few weeks ago at the start of the King of the Ring tournament trying to put a positive spin on why Owens was kissing up to Shane so much and holy cow do I feel stupid now. There is just so much wrong with this story, it’s disorienting.

First, let’s look at the financial aspects of this imposed fine. We’re supposed to believe that Kevin Owens won’t make enough money to send his kids through college? Really? Kevin has two kids, and his son isn’t even a teenager yet, so Owens doesn’t have time to save up more money? Forbes last year released a list of estimated earnings for wrestlers in which Kevin Owens came in 10th on the list at an estimated salary of $2 million. Since then, we know Kevin Owens signed a new long term contract with WWE. We aren’t really supposed to think he’s hurting financially are we? Even if he was, why can’t his kids get loans like most of us do? That’s what I had to do and I now owe thousands in student loans just like the vast majority of kids who go to college because my parents aren’t television stars with seven figure salaries. Does WWE want us to think they’re not paying talent appropriate or acceptable wages? I mean if $100,000 is so crippling to Owens, how much is his storyline salary supposed to be? Also, there’s not a single other job Owens is capable of doing? There are no other wrestling companies in existence? WWE had Sami Zayn mention AEW on live television not that long ago, so obviously in the WWE World other wrestling companies do exist (I can’t use Universe, feels too corporate now, thanks a lot Vince).

Second, what does Kevin Owens stand for now? Okay fine, let’s ignore all of the financial plot holes here. Let’s say Owens is incapable of working for any other company and he makes some weird amount of money were $100,000 will cripple him financially for over a decade thus not allowing his kids to have money to pay for college, while also not being allowed to take out loans of any kind on their own. What Owens did on Tuesday was still moronic and it completely killed his character. He goes to the ring, the bell rings and he immediately quick counts the win for Gable. My first thought was he’s being defiant and telling Shane “screw you” which is great, but no. We come back from commercial after it’s made two out of three falls by Shane and he’s done a complete 180 to where he’s scared to count the second fall for Gable, but eagerly quick counting to help Shane win. Why? What did WWE do to establish him changing his mind so fast? Did I miss something? These things need explained! This isn’t hard! How can someone write this story with this planet sized plot hole in it? How can someone proofread the script and let it be accepted? I love Owens too much to think he didn’t try and say something, but who knows maybe Vince tore up the script to Smackdown again two hours before the show because he’s a damn psychopath so there was no time to.

So, in the end, Shane taps out and Owens doesn’t even call for the final bell because Shane taps, so there’s no need for him to. So, Owens doesn’t really play a role in the final outcome, yet he’s blamed for it. So then crippled Shane beats him up, which is ridiculous, then fires him. Fine whatever. There were so many other ways to get to that point without sacrificing the entirety of Owens’ credibility and character. Gable doesn’t benefit from this at all. He advances to the finals of this tournament with him being an absolute after thought in the story. This absolutely sucked. I could go on more tangents about the unforgivable incompetence shown in this segment alone, but I won’t. This isn’t even touching the Mandy Rose promo flat out calling Nikki Cross ugly, or Bayley’s weird heel turn and that’s just Smackdown.

Congratulations, Fox, you spent $1 Billion for this. WWE has three weeks to get it together. If they want to succeed on Fox, you have to do infinitely better than this. This is not how you gain new fans. This isn’t even how you retain your current fans. All the promotion in the world won’t get people to watch your show when it looks like you aren’t even trying to write good stories.

NXT Rating: Fewer viewers tune in for week two on USA Network, how did it compare to TNT’s movie airing opposite in AEW’s future timeslot

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

The second episode of NXT on USA Network last night (9/25) drew a 0.74 rating and 1.006 million viewers, a drop of around 15 percent from last week’s 0.86 rating and 1.179 million viewers.

By comparison, TNT’s airing of “Beauty & The Beast” drew 678,000 viewers. USA will like their programming outdrawing their chief rival, TNT. Next week, that slot will be occupied by AEW.

The drop in NXT viewership was sharper than our Twitter poll indicated, which indicated about 9 percent fewer of our followers watched NXT than last week.

Raw Rating: The day after the Hell in a Cell backlash, key metrics, big drop in third hour ranking, past year comparisons

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

Raw received no bump from the surge in viewership last week’s Friday Night Smackdown experienced, draping to a 1.65 rating, below the ten-week rolling average headed into this week of 1.73. This week’s rating – representing live and same-night-DVR viewership – was down from last week’s “season premiere” episode of Raw, which drew a 1.78 rating.

The Hell in a Cell backlash could have helped or hurt the rating; either people were disgruntled and frustrated with WWE and skipped Raw as a result or they were intrigued with how WWE would handle it and thus tuned in. Either way, the rating didn’t seem greatly fazed either way.

The first hour drew 2.443 million viewers. It dropped from there to 2.330 million viewers and 2.230 million viewers the next two hours. That’s a first-to-third hour drop-off of 213,000, below the 305,000 average drop-off this year.

One year ago this week, Raw drew a 1.97 rating. Two years ago this week, it drew a 1.93 rating. Three years ago this week, it drew a 1.93 rating also.

In the key 18-49 adult demographic, Raw dropped to 5, 6, and 9 in the weekly rankings, falling behind not only the ESPN Monday Night Football game along with the ESPN pre-show and post-show, but also the MLB Playoff game. TLC’s “90 Day Fiance” and another MLB Playoff game also beat Raw’s third hour.

NXT and AEW viewership down to lowest levels of the year, key metrics and perspective

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

AEW and NXT each experienced a dip in viewership, understandable considering the major coronavirus news breaking during the show (especially the NBA and Tom Hanks). AEW took a bigger hit, dropping to 766,000 compared to 906,000 last week. NXT drew 697,000 compared to 718,000 last week.

AEW’s viewership is the lowest since the Nov. 27 episode drew 663,000. NXT’s viewership was the all-time lowest for an original live version of NXT with the exception of the Oct. 30 episode last year.

NXT’s average viewership for 2020 for their live shows so far is 740,000. AEW’s average for 2020 so far is 897,000.

Plainfield Hate Crime Slaying: Lawyer Wants Jailhouse Recordings

PLAINFIELD, IL — The attorneys defending Joseph Czuba, the Plainfield Township man charged in the murder of 6-year-old Wadee Alfayoumi and stabbing his mother, Hanan Shaheen, want the recordings of the 71-year-old’s jail conversations.

The landlord, who rented two rooms in his Plainfield Township home to 32-year-old Shaheen and her son, has had conversations with visitors, other inmates, correctional officers and “another individual who may or may not be an inmate, but an individual purporting to be an inmate,” according to a motion for additional discovery filed Monday by longtime downtown Joliet criminal defense attorney George Lenard, who is serving as Czuba’s public defender along with Kylie Blatti.

“It is a known fact all conversations between Joseph Czuba and his visitors” are being recorded by Will County jail staff, according to the motion.

Find out what's happening in Plainfieldwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Lenard requested the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office produce “any and all recordings of statements made” as they are relevant to preparing Czuba’s defense. He also wrote the evidence is “a key component included in his due process and other constitutional rights.”

The document also cites President Joe Biden’s statement to the country mentioning Wadee’s death, as well as the fact the Justice Department opened a federal hate crimes investigation into the Oct. 14 stabbings.

Find out what's happening in Plainfieldwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

The motion was filed just as Czuba learned his wife, Mary, filed for divorce against him, Patch reported. Mary retained downtown Joliet law firm DeVriendt & Associates to bring the petition forward against Czuba, who remains detained at the Will County Adult Detention Facility while he awaits trial.

At Czuba’s Oct. 30 court appearance, Lenard and Blatti entered not-guilty pleas to all eight felony charges against the man, who turns 72 on Wednesday. A grand jury indicted him of three counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of hate crime.

Will County prosecutors said Czuba’s attack was motivated by the family’s Muslim faith as a result of his grievances with the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Asuka aligns with Damage CTRL on WWE SmackDown

Asuka ended SmackDown by aligning herself with Damage CTRL.

Friday’s show saw Asuka refuse to tag in towards the end of a match pitting her, Bianca Belair, and Charlotte Flair against Kairi Sane, Bayley, and IYO SKY. Asuka misted Belair and began attacking her and Charlotte Flair, with the rest of Damage CTRL joining in. Shotzi came out for the save but was also taken out. The show ended with the four, as well as Dakota Kai, raising each other’s hands.

Earlier in the show, Bayley addressed Kairi Sane with SKY, who came to the ring with Kai and Sane. Kai explained to Bayley that she and SKY brought in Sane to ease the workload for Bayley. Sane said that she forgave Bayley for attacking her back in 2020, taking her out of WWE in storyline. The three, along with Kai, ended up hugging.

At Crown Jewel last Saturday, SKY was wrestling Biana Belair when Sane interfered on her behalf, eventually allowing SKY to retain the WWE Women's title. Bayley seemed surprised that Sane and IYO had joined forces.

STARDOM NEWS: Stardom purchased by NJPW parent company Bushiroad, press conference details on what this means for the future of the joshi promotion

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

This Thursday, October 17 it was formally announced that leading Japanese women’s wrestling promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom has been purchased by Kix Road, a subsidiary of Bushiroad. Kix Road also owns kickboxing promotion Knock Out while Bushiroad, predominantly a trading card company, is best known under these circumstances for being the owners of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. As of December 1 Kix Road Co. will officially be rebranded as Bushiroad Fight Co. as a result.

A press conference was held at 2 p.m. Tokyo time today to address the acquisition with Stardom CEO Rossy Ogawa and the entire roster present and on stage. It was made clear that Bushiroad owning both NJPW and Stardom will not affect the business practices of either promotion. This is not a merger and both companies will remain separate entities. Ogawa will stay on as Stardom president and Stardom World will remain the streaming service for all events.

Bushiroad’s main intent is an increased focus on production and advertising as they market and build on Stardom’s already strong fanbase through TV commercials, billboards, and ads in wrestling magazines beginning in January. They also hope to reach and draw in more female fans. All current Stardom roster members have been given new full-time contracts, which should enable them to support themselves solely as professional wrestlers.

Bushiroad founder Takaaki Kidani is a former president of NJPW himself. He and Ogawa began talks of an acquisition last fall with serious discussions starting in the spring. WWE’s increased promotion of women’s wrestling in North America as well as allowing women to main event WrestleMania were said by Kidani to be factors in his decision to consider acquiring Stardom. Kidani expects to quintuple Stardom’s profits in the next five years similar to the growth NJPW saw between 2011 and 2018.

Other confirmed early developments arising from the purchase include a weekly half hour television show airing in Japan on Thursdays and the scheduling of 14 events in 2020 at Korakuen Hall up from 12 in 2019. The April 29, 2020 Cinderella tournament at Ota Ward Gym is scheduled to be the first big event post-acquisition and plans are already in place for Stardom’s 10th Anniversary Show to take place in January 2021 at the legendary Ryogoku Sumo Hall.

World Of Stardom Champion Bea Priestley and High Speed Champion Riho both currently wrestle for All Elite Wrestling in the United States and their involvement is not expected to change. The same goes for international talent like Session Moth Martina, Zoe Lucas, and Bobbi Tyler. Whether Stardom will continue to have access to WWE wrestlers like Toni Storm, Xia Brookside, and Viper remains to be seen.

NXT cuts into AEW’s ratings lead with smallest percentage gap between shows yet, both take big hit from Game 7 World Series, AEW losing young males to NXT, other key metrics

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

Game seven the World Series on Wednesday night pulled viewership for NXT on USA and AEW Dynamite down to their lowest levels yet.

  • AEW Dynamite on TNT drew 759,000 viewers, down from 963,000 the week before.
  • NXT on USA drew 580,000 viewers, down from 698,000 the week before.

NXT also aired on USA Network a one-hour highlight show from last week in the hour leading into this week’s new live show; that drew 264,000 viewers. NXT also replayed immediately after the live airing on USA; that drew 207,000 viewers.

Counting the live show and the immediately replay, NXT outdrew AEW by a 787,000 to 759,000 viewership.

Percentage-wise, the gap between the shows continues to shrink. NXT’s head-to-head live viewership was 76 percent of AEW’s this week. That percentage is the highest yet. Last week it was 72 percent, the week before that 70 percent, the week before that 69 percent, and the first week it was 63 percent. So with shrinking viewership for both shows, the difference between the shows in total viewers and in percentage of difference keeps shrinking. The first week percentage difference was 37 percent, and that is now down to 24 percent. With the buzz from Finn Balor’s turn and strong favorable reviews for the show along with continued cross-promotion by WWE on Raw and Smackdown, AEW could find themselves behind NXT eventually, although there’s still a ways to go.

The cable household rating for AEW was 0.58 and for NXT was 0.48. Those are both series lows. Next week, without World Series competition, it’ll be a chance to get a truer picture of where the two shows stand and if there’s going to be a substantial rebound. Gong from a total of 2.3 million viewers in the first head-to-head Wednesday to 1.3 million on week five is a bad sign for the shows, even with the extenuating circumstances.

In demographics, among 18-34 year olds, AEW dropped from 0.52 to 0.28. NXT, despite the downturn in viewership overall, drew from 0.12 to 0.18 in that same 18-34 demographic. If that’s part of a trend of NXT pulling in 18-34 year viewers from AEW, that’s a sign of NXT doing something well and AEW needing to correct course to counter the movement. For NXT’s overall viewership to go down sharply, yet grow in a demo that AEW lost nearly half of its viewers in points toward what would be an alarming situation for AEW.

Among men 18-49, NXT held steady with 0.23 while AEW went from 0.62 to 0.48. So unless AEW has a much larger cross-section with young male baseball fans, something is going on with the appeal of NXT compared to AEW over time.

Among all adults 18-49, AEW dropped from 0.45 to 0.33 and NXT dropped from 0.21 to 0.18.

WWE Smackdown viewership declines, still finishes tied or head of other programs on Friday in the key 18-49 demo, but viewership below year-ago number

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

WWE Smackdown drew 2.309 million viewers, down from 2.610 million viewers the prior week and the lowest viewership to date on Fox broadcast network. The first hour drew 2.445 million viewers and the second hour produced 2.255 million viewers, so a significant erosion of viewers as the show progressed toward the Miz TV segment with Daniel Bryan.

One year ago, Smackdown drew 2.312 million viewers, so 3,000 more than this week.

Among the key 18-49 demographic, Smackdown drew a 0.7 rating, good for a tie with CBS’s “Hawaii Five-O” in the first hour (which drew more than triple the total viewers, but most of them were much older). ABC’s “American Housewife” came close to Smackdown with a 0.6 demo rating. NBC’s “The Blacklist” wasn’t far behind at 0.5 in that demo. Both of those shows also drew significantly more viewers than Smackdown on Fox (3.34 and 3.98 million, respectively). No show opposite the second hour of Smackdown finished with a 0.7 or higher, as CBS’s “Magnum P.I.” and NBC’s “Dateline” drew 0.6 rating in that key demo.

Smackdown drew it’s lowest 18-34 male demo to date on Fox with a 0.51, below the 0.85 and 0.74 of the prior two weeks. That’s a big percentage loss of younger male viewers, although the Oct. 18 episode on Fox drew a 0.58 rating, so it could bounce back next week. If it doesn’t, that’s a concern going forward.
