LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The National Fastpitch Coaches Association is pleased to announce University of Illinois Springfield (Shannon Guthrie), Deer Park (Texas) High School (Erica Cantu) and Texas Blaze Travel (Tammie Davis) – as the winners of the 2018 Diamond Kinetics Technology Scholarship. Diamond Kinetics is an official sponsor of the NFCA and the lead on the NFCA National Convention app.
The award recognizes one fastpitch high school team, one college program and one travel training facility who have integrated technology into their respective program throughout the preceding year. The recipients receive an honorary plaque, a $500 technology stipend and $2,000 in Diamond Kinetics products for their continued technology development.
“Congratulations to the winners of the Diamond Kinetics Technology scholarship,” said NFCA Executive Director, Carol Bruggeman. “Providing coaches continuing education is important to both the NFCA and Diamond Kinetics. This scholarship will assist coaches in understanding and implementing state-of-the-art technology products into their respective practice environments. However, the real winners will ultimately be the student-athletes, who will enhance their skills tremendously with feedback from user-friendly Diamond Kinetics products.”
The trio will be recognized at the 2018 NFCA Convention on Saturday, December 8 during the “Using Technology to Enhance your Players & Program” presented by Diamond Kinetics presentation featuring North Carolina State’s Jennifer Patrick-Swift.
