Flight attendant made the announcement twice

The flight had to make an emergency landing at Washington, DC’s Dulles Airport. According to an Insider report, before the landing, the flight attendant made an announcement twice to get rid of any images.

A passenger named Rolanda Schmidt told Insider, “I think we were all just like, ‘What?!'” Schmidt told the media outlet that the second announcement implied that the request was to protect passenger privacy. Another passenger also confirmed to the outlet that they were asked to delete photos and videos.

Some images, however, made their way to social media.

7 people sustained injuries

Seven people on board the plane sustained injuries due to the severe turbulence and had to be hospitalised.

According to Schmidt, one of the seven passengers injured during the event, the jet made a significant drop, sending food and personal goods flying throughout the cabin.

Schmidt told Insider, “I think we were all just like, ‘What?!'”

She got a concussion, damaged her arm, and may have fractured her hip due to the turbulence. She said, “I thought we were going down.”

The passenger said that the plane took a major drop, sending food and personal items flying throughout the cabin.

“Everything was flying everywhere”

Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves was also on the same flight and shared a video of the incident on her Instagram account.

In the caption, she wrote, “To respect the privacy of those around me that’s all I am showing but the plane was a CHAOS And the turbulence keep on coming.” She added, “I was told plane dropped almost 4,000 feet, 7 people went to the hospital. Everything was flying everywhere.”
