At the Game Awards 2018, Device 6 developer Simogo and Annapurna Interactive announced Sayonara Wild Hearts for the Nintendo Switch.
Described as a “Pop Album Video Game,” Sayonara Wild Hearts is a stylistic music-based game featuring characters based on tarot cards, with names such as Dancing Devils, Howling Moons, Stereo Lovers, Hermit64, Little Death, and The Fool.
Sayonara Wild Hearts features everything from riding motorcycles and skateboards, wielding swords, fighting three-headed wolves and more.
Featuring a custom-written vocal pop soundtrack that was designed to complement the gameplay, Sayonara Wild Hearts focuses on “synthesizing electric pop, dance, fashion, anime, arcade games and subcultures, and much more.”
Device 6, back in 2014, was awarded the number two spot on our list of top 25 mobile games. In our review, we said “Device 6 is simply one of the smartest and most rewarding games I’ve played in years.”
Simogo also developed Year Walk, in which our review said that game is a “brisk and energetic horror novella adventure that evokes the fantastic tones of Limbo and The Room.”
